Tennessee is a state in the south-eastern United States. It borders Kentucky and Virginia to the north, North Carolina to the east, Georgia, Alabama, and Mississippi to the south, and Arkansas and Missouri to the west.

Tennessee has a population of 6.3 million as of 2010. The state capital is Nashville and its largest city is Memphis.

Tennessee is known as the Volunteer State.
